Children will develop key reading skills such as finding information, making inferences, summarising texts, predicting events and understanding new vocabulary. Through engaging texts, they will learn to think critically about what they read and explain their ideas using evidence from the text.

Many of our foundation subjects follow the Kapow Primary scheme of work, which is adapted where appropriate to meet the needs and interests of our pupils. The scheme helps ensure clear progression in learning while providing engaging and creative opportunities for children to develop their knowledge and skills.

Please see the knowledge organisers in the 'files' for further information.
